This morning we decided to get up and go on a short hike, well more like a short walk, together as a family. Rick didn't have work until 11:30am so we had the whole morning! We decided to park down from Bridal Veil Falls and walk along the trail that leads up to it the waterfall.
It was a perfect morning! The weather was great and it was early enough in the morning that it wasn't hot. Plus, some of the trees are starting to change colors. Beautiful. I think we'll have to go again in a couple weeks when everything is yellow, red, and orange and take some more pictures of fall.
Here is Rick and Kimbri as were just a little ways down the trail from where we parked:
It looks like Rick's eyes are closed...
This is such a cute Daddy - Daughter picture!

This was the view on the other side of the highway, opposite of Bridal Veil.
Look at all the fish! They are really packed in there!
It was a really fun little walk to do. Sometimes its just fun to get out somewhere different to go on walks besides just around the block or to the pond south of BYU or the park we go to so often just down the road. The air felt fresh and cool and I loved going on this little family activity!
After looking at all the fish at the base of Bridal Veil falls and taking a few pictures and just enjoying the beautiful view, we started walking back down the trail.
Here is Daddy carrying Kimbri part of the way back. She was being very snuggly - I think she was starting to get tired and ready for her morning nap.
We stopped and walked across a bridge to the side of the path on our way back and there were seriously tons and tons of spider webs! It was kind of weird. They were all along the sides of the bridge, just built one on top of the other it seemed. We found one web with a spider making its way to a freshly caught bug and then when it got there it started dragging to toward the top corner. It was kind of interesting to watch. Rick thought it was interesting enough to try and video it...haha :)
On our way back we each ate a granola bar and had some water and Kimbri snacked on some cheerios.
It was a really fun and relaxing morning! I definitely want to go back soon when the mountains start turning really colorful!
