When we took Garrett back to the hospital two days after leaving we sadly found out that his bilirubin levels had gone up...which meant we had to start him on the lights. The home healthcare people came and brought a bili-bed and a bili-blanket. Like with Kimbri, they told us to keep him on the lights at all times unless we were feeding him or changing a diaper. And I'll tell ya, it's so hard to bring a brand new baby home and stick them on a bili-bed and not get to snuggle or hold them!
We had to go back to the hospital the next day and get his heel poked so they could get some blood to test his levels again. They had gone down but only by a little bit. The levels went from a 17.2 to a 16.6. So for the next few days we had to go back and get his little heel poked so he could get his bilirubin levels tested. The next time they were a 13.8 and then finally down to a 9.5! So by that day we could finally take him off! We had to get the levels down to an 11.9 or lower. And we did it! So now we just get to snuggle and hold our little bundle of joy!

We're so glad that Garrett is off the lights now and we can snuggle him all we want! We love you so much Garrett!!
