Zoo ~ Part 1 & 2

The Zoo: Part 1

This past Monday my friend Tara and her daughter, Pearl went to the Phoenix Zoo with us. The husbands were in school so we decided to make a trip to the zoo with the kids! It was really fun.

Kimbri kept turning around every time the animals would walk away,
and ask with a very sad expression, "Where's he going?!"

We had a ton of fun seeing half of the Zoo that day. We saw the zebras, tigers, giraffes, monkeys, and countless other animals. Somewhere in all of our zoo fun Garrett dropped his sippy cup. How did I not realize a big green sippy cup fell out of the stroller, probably making a big thud? I don't know. But we retraced our trail part way and then checked lost-and-found on our way out and nothing. I left my phone number and name in case they found it and we went on our way home.

About halfway home I got a call saying our green sippy cup was turned in! We decided not to turn around since the kids were so tired by that point and were ready for naps. It would've added like 30 minutes onto the drive! So I decided to just go pick it up the next day... which brings us to....

The Zoo: Part 2

We only did maybe half of the zoo the day before so we decided to check out the other half (and we still didn't get to everything... it's a huge Zoo!).

They have an amazing children's section of the zoo and we had a blast!! It seriously was SO fun.

Apparently Kimbri decided she want to sit and watch the ducks for a little while...

She called this the "Ariel Shell" like on the movie
"The Little Mermaid" - she wouldn't sit still for a pic.

Kimbri being a turtle

We called him Pumba

And this was Simba

This slide was a little too steep and fast... Kimbri came
flying out and fell down right after I took this picture

They have a little petting farm where you can go in and brush the goats' hair. Kimbri was not shy at all, going from goat to goat, brushing their hair. She loved it!

In the above picture, Garrett was looking up, so intrigued by what is in the picture below. It was spinning around and around and he was totally in a trance by it.

So we went to the Zoo twice in two days... it was great!
