Disneyland 2016

This is going to be an enormous post of pictures about our awesome family vacation to Disneyland!! We saved up for so long for it and were so excited to make it work with Rick's schedule and get to have a family vacation!

First off, Olivia flew down to Arizona a few days before we headed to California to visit us and so she could drive with us to Disneyland. She helped us out tremendously the first few days we were at the parks before my parents, Zach and Enoch got there. They joined us for the last few days at the park.

On our way to Disneyland! We got up early so we could
get there and drop off our stuff at the hotel and get to the park!

Meeting some of the princesses. A favorite
for Kimbri. Garret didn't want to be in any of
the pictures.

Rick, Garrett, Kimbri, Olivia

Brenna hanging out with me while the kids
rode all the rides in Bugs Land.

Olivia and Garrett doing the bumper bugs!

Rick and Kimbri

Metting Woody!

The Pixar Parade!

Brenna is such a content and happy baby.
She did so good on our trip!

Meeting Jasmine and Aladdin.

Her grin melts my heart.

Loving the cotton candy... probably a little too much.

Pretty sure this was on the Splash Mountain ride

Doing the Winnie the Pooh ride. We went on that ride SO
many times during our trip. It always has a super short
line and the kids love it, so why not?!

Sunset picture at the Splash Mountain ride.

Tired baby, but cute baby :)

Meeting Ariel.

Casey Junior's train ride.

Meeting Merida from the movie, Brave.

About to fall asleep... I love those cheeks!

In line for the Buzz Lightyear ride.

Meeting Pooh bear!

Waiting to meet Pluto.

On the little kids roller coaster in Toon Town.
I was surprised that Garrett was brave enough to
go on it! I think during it he was unsure but when we
got off the ride he said he wanted to go again!

Nap time!

We got to see the "Tangled" play in the Royal Theatre and it was so cute! There was a little kids section for seating up front and close and Kimbri and Garrett were really entertained. There are some secrets to Disneyland, and if you know them you get bonus visits with some of the characters! So if you stick around after the play in the theatre area, the main characters come back out and do a private meet and greet with you. If you leave though, you don't get to come back in. So we were one of just 3 or 4 groups that stayed and so there's was hardly a wait to meet Flynn Rider and Rapunzel. The reason why Garrett isn't in these pictures is because he wanted NOTHING to do with the characters! Maybe it was because it was the first day? Because he did get better as the week went on.

Flynn Rider was way into meeting Brenna while Kimbri loved
visiting with Rapunzel.

At the Superhero Center! Garrett was in
heaven. Also Olivia bought Garrett
the Captain America shirt that he LOVES.

Looking at the Ironman exhibit.

Meeting Thor. Garrett didn't want to get near
him for a picture but you could tell by his face
that he thought it was so awesome to see Thor.

Kimbri, totally exhausted.

This is how Garrett ate his french toast with
WAY too much whipped cream. Haha!
The hotel breakfast was super yummy!

He thought it was pretty hilarious.

Brenna slept really good in her carrier and
was such a good little vacationer :)

Being silly at the bus stop to get from our hotel to the park.
Dad and Garrett on the Tow Mater ride in Cars Land.

Dad, Mom, Brenna, Kimbri, Aunt Olivia, Garrett

Riding the cars ride. Kimbri was tall enough
and she loved it. She's one fearless little girl!

These kiddos love the carousel!

I'm too chicken to do the Ferris Wheel so Rick took
Kimbri and Garrett

Meeting Jessie from Toy Story

Garrett learning how to "shoot a web".

Meeting Anna & Elsa

Garrett was unsure but at least would be in
the picture this time!

The spinning teacups! But we didn't spin
ours so Brenna wouldn't get dizzy.

Garrett starting to warm up to the characters.
He finally would give at least a high five!

Kimbri loved getting her book signed by
everyone we met!

Not sure how Brenna feels about the Winnie
the Pooh ride. But those cheeks though!
(And thanks to Zach for the Minnie hat)

Meeting Thor, again.

This time Garrett actually went close to him!

Walking through Aurora's castle.

They were SOOO worn out and they fell asleep
on the bus ride back to the hotel.
-This is Garrett asleep on the seat next to Grandpa-

Kimbri fell asleep on Grandpa's lap.

Her face pretty much sums up her excitement
for the cars ride. She went on that ride
probably 6 or 7 times!

(Back) Rick, Zach, Dad (Front) Me, Kimbri, Enoch

The water raft ride. Kimbri was so excited that
she had a poncho (thanks to my mom) and
kept telling everyone howdry she was. Haha!

Pretty sunset at California Adventure.

Another parade!

Same thing here where we hung around after
the Frozen show and got to meet the characters!

Toon Town!

One of Garrett's favorite parts of Toon Town
were all the cars you could hop up in.

Look at that! He finally warmed up to the idea
of meeting characters!

Meeting Doc McStuffins.

That pose... hahaha! Kimbri is just too cute!

Garrett loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates!

At the Frozen sing along.

Meeting Daisy Duck!

Daisy and the girls.

Garrett with Mater

Enoch, Kimbri and Grandpa

Trying to eat spaghetti with chop sticks...
At the Zootopia preview. It looks like it's going
to be a fun movie. Can't wait till it comes out!

Doing the carousel, again, one last time!
Riding Heimlich's Choo Choo Train on our last night there!
I'm so grateful that we were able to go on such a fun family vacation! It was super high stress at times with three young kids but we had lots of help from Olivia and Zach and my parents. I'm SO glad they were there too!
And we were also so grateful that my parents got the hotel on points for us so our hotel room was free! It had an awesome breakfast that we filled up on each morning and then we packed in food to the park for one meal and ate in the park for the other meal. Disneyland actually has some pretty yummy restaurants!
Another thanks to my parents for our fun matching Minnie and Mickey shirts that they gave to us for Christmas and the Christmas money they gave us that we put towards our trip. Along with the birthday money from last year that we saved to put towards our tickets! We've been saving every little bit :)
The kids were so obsessed with their toys that Zach got them (and still are enjoying them months later! Since I'm so behind writing this post). He gave Garrett a light saber and Kimbri a flashing light Mickey wand. And Zach bought one too many churros for the kids, but they weren't complaining. They LOVED those!! They definitely got spoiled from their uncle Zach :)

It was seriously was such a fun vacation. It was super busy and crazy and a bit stressful at times but overall we made some great memories and I'm so glad we got to go on this trip!

Can't wait till we can go do Disneyland again someday when the kiddos are older! I love Disney!!!
