October 2016

The last half of September and most of October, Rick had to be in Arizona for an ER and Neurology rotation. It was so hard being apart for so long. The kids missed having daddy around and I sure missed him too! While he was in Arizona, he also had to take time to go take the second part of boards in Chicago (Oct 9-10). He also flew out to Jonesboro, Arkansas for a residency interview Oct 13-14. Things were definitely hard being a single parent for that long but we survived! We'll have to do it again in the Spring for 8 weeks while he does his last 2 core rotations, that must be completed with doctors the school sets up. Once we make it through that, though, we will be soooo close to being all the way done with medical school. The end of school is getting closer!

The kids decided to put pull-ups on their heads... and Kimbri
has a tutu around her neck... the things these kids thing of.

Conference incentive for the kids. If they hear
a word I wrote down, they got to pick one thing
from the coordinating cup of snacks.

Brenna was trying to sneak stuff.

In the Stone's backyard.

Such a fun hobby for kids this age. Empty
the entire drawer of clothes!

See how tall the red team is? I swear they look like 2nd graders!

They handed out trophies at their last game.

We were in charge of bringing treats for Kimbri's
soccer game. Brenna had fun taking them all out
of the box and putting them back in, over and over.

My favorite chips and salsa ever from Los Hermanos.

Snacking on pretzels on the table. I guess when 5 people are
living in one bedroom, things get kind of squishy and you have
to get creative!

We did FaceTime with Rick
a lot while he was gone.

These too constantly switch around with their
sleeping arrangements. Sometimes we find Kimbri
in Garrett bed or vice versa.

Being silly wearing her soccer jersey on her legs

The new fun thing when grocery shopping...
getting buried with groceries! They love it!

Waiting for the bus to come pick up Kimbri for school.

Something hit the kids in October... it was not good.
We put blankets on the couch to try and protect it from barf.

It's so sad when you have sick kids!

Waiting for Dad to come home from AZ.

Dads & Donuts at the school.
