So after Nolan getting home, graduation, family pictures, our trip to Nebraska, and a wedding we (Rick, Kimbri and I) all hopped back in the car with my parents in their big white van and headed off to Colorado for Janelle's wedding! Wahoo! We got to stay in an incredible house of some people that Doug and Kathy knew from the ward. They built it themselves and it was magnificent, and not to mention gigantic! It was seriously better than staying in a hotel. My parents and siblings that went (Zach and Olivia stayed home for choir and soccer), Dawson and Stacie and their kids, and Rick, Kimbri and I all stayed in their house. We all had seperate rooms with our own bathrooms connected to the rooms and in our room they even had a full sized crib for Kimbri! It was SO nice because she doesn't sleep very good in those pack-n-play things. Sadly, though, I didn't take any pictures, darn. But it really was such an incredible house!
We drove all day on Friday, May 11 and got there that evening in time for a delicious dinner of the good old Haycock enchiladas!! Yum! We got to visit with everyone for quite a while until everyone headed to their sleeping quarters for the night to get some sleep before the wedding the next morning!
On Saturday, May 12, 2012 my amazing cousin Janelle got married to the love of her life, Brandon Nygard in the Denver, Colorado Temple! Congratulations to them!!! I was so happy that we were able to attend their sealing and celebrate with them on their special wedding day! Also, a huge thank you to all the cousins that helped watch Kimbri, along with the numerous other babies- and I mean numerous! - while we were in the temple!! Thanks especially to Maryella, Catherine and Camille! You all rock:)
While we were waiting for the bride and groom to make their appearance outside the temple Kimbri ate and then zonked out pretty much the entire time pictures were being taken. Haha! Oh well.

After the temple we went to a luncheon provided by the Nygard family at a nearby church building. After the luncheon we went to visit Camille and Tim's house. They also live in Colorado. And then we all went to get changed into our casual clothes to go help get the reception ready. Oh the weather. The day started out beautiful and over the course of the day got worse. It was beautiful weather at the temple but not that great at the reception. We started setting everything up outside and then it started to thunder and rain so we tried to move some tables inside in the basement. The line with the bride and groom was inside at first and then outside and then I think they had to go inside again because of the rain. But they came in and cut the cake and throw the bouquet, etc and it all worked out! In the end, the weather doesn't really matter because it's your wedding day! You're just happy to be married to your love for time and all eternity!!
They ended the night riding off into the sunset, or rather the dark, cloudy and rainy sky on a horse together! And although we heard that by the time they got to their truck they were soaked with Janelle's mascara running down her face, they were HAPPY! And just so thrilled to be married and together, and that's all that matters!!
It was such a great trip! I'm so happy for Brandon and Janelle and wish them luck with their future. We drove home the next day. It was quite the drive. Kimbri was not so very happy but we made it! And now, after all the crazy busy-ness of the last few weeks, I'm excited to be home with my wonderful little family!
