On Saturday morning we got up, got ready, and took off to see Mitch and Wesley run at Kiwanas Park for their Cross Country team. I think it was the regions meet. They did great and it was fun to be there and cheer them on! As the race ended is when conference had just started so it was there that Mike heard the announcement about the change in missionary age and told all of us! That is so exciting! I texted Zach right away and he was super excited too and said that he was going to try and get his papers in by the end of the month. Yay!
After the race was over we all headed back down to Salem and finished watching the morning session of conference. On our way to Spanish Fork for the second session we stopped at the Hawaiian Shave Ice place on Main Street. It was "Customer Appreciation Day" and they were giving away FREE shave ice! Yum! And Kimbri sure loved it.
The line wasn't too bad but it took longer than we thought to get through so it made us a little bit late for the second session since we made one other stop at Signs and Wonders Boutique also on Main Street. They were having a clearance sale for all their children's clothes. Each article of clothing was only .25! So of course I had to take advantage of that!! I looked through all the baby boy stuff and loaded up on several sleepers, pants, shirts, onesies, etc... because you just can't beat 25 cents! A couple of things still had tags on it! Like this little outfit I got that is a Carter's light blue and tan outfit with a little puppy on the front with striped pants. It only made me more anxious and excited to meet this little fella!
Anyway, we got three bags of clothes (like 30 articles of clothing) for just over $8! A lot of things when you buy them new are that much for just one thing! So I was feeling pretty good about our purchases:) And Kimbri loved pulling out all the outfits from the sacks like in the following picture.
Later that night all the boys headed out for the Priesthood session. Rick went to Salem to attend it with his dad and brothers. Olivia was gone babysitting so my mom and I watched a movie and Kimbri went to sleep shortly after it started, however, when my Grandma showed up with ice cream, along with all the guys after the session, Kimbri somehow must've known it cause she was wide awake and ready for some dessert!! Needless to say it was a late night for her!

Because Kimbri was up so late, she slept in until 9am the next morning. And so did I! Rick had to get up really early and leave so he could make it up to Salt Lake to do his conference translations. He was assigned the 'Music and the Spoken Work' that is just prior to conference so he had to be there even earlier. So my dad came to pick us up in Provo and took us back to Spanish Fork so we could spend the day there watching conference. However, I did quickly learn that it is a lot harder to watch and pay attention to the talks when you have a child! The past two conferences have been a lot easier because she was so little but now she is mobile and likes to be everywhere at once! But since Rick does translations he'll have to re-watch them all too so that's usually what we do for family night activities.
Sunday night we all had dinner. Carla and Craig came down from Salt Lake, Eric came from Provo, and my Grandparents also came. We had a big Mexican meal it was oh sooooo good! My dad made tostadas and chicken taquitos. My grandma brought delicious Spanish rice and guacamole. And I helped cut up a TON of fresh apples and pears from the trees out in the backyard for a pear and apple fruit salad. It was delicious!! Rick got back to SF in time for dinner too not long after we started and we got to spend the rest of the evening together. It was a fun weekend!
