We got to spend another day in Magic Kingdom, and this time with Grandma and Grandpa Haycock! There is sooo much to do in Magic Kingdom that we easily were able to spend 2 days there. This time we got arrive early for the "extra magic morning" hours that they have certain days of the week for people staying in a Disney hotel.
So we got there early with plans to go to Adventureland but apparently the magic morning hours were only for Fantasyland and Future World. That was ok though, because the kids loved the Snow White's Mine Train so much that we decided to go straight there and get a child swap so they could turn around and go again later in the day! It worked out awesome! Usually that ride is well over an hour wait during the day but because we went there first and were able to get a child swap because Brenna is too little for it, they got to go on that ride 3 times throughout our trip! It was another ride that the kids loved and were totally thrilled with. I seriously love the pictures we got of them on that ride!
While everyone was doing the Mine Train, Brenna and I went to the Winnie the Pooh ride, since Brenna loves Pooh bear so much. We got through that ride so quickly, and they were all still at Mine Train, so we went and met some more princesses- It was Rapunzel and Tiana this time!
Then we all met up at the Carousel and let the kids ride that. Also, while we were in Fantasyland we decided to watch Mickey's Philharmagic Symphony since it was closed the first day we were in Magic Kingdom. It was a 3D movie that the kids really liked. It was such a cute show!

Ready for another day at Disney World! We
let the kids each pick out a hat at the beginning
of the day. Brenna got Mickey, Kimbri got Minnie
and Garrett got a Cars hat with Mickey ears. |

Then we headed to Adventureland, because by that point it was just about to open. We wanted to get there right as it opened so we could get through the line for Thunder Mountain quickly.
Thunder Mountain is another one that Brenna and I couldn't go on so we went and got in line to meet Jasmine and Aladdin. The others met up with us just in time to meet them with us, except Garrett didn't want anything to do with meeting them, haha.

| Of course Garrett is excited for another fast ride. He loves the thrill! |

| On the Jungle Cruise boat ride! |
Kimbri apparently got a hold of my phone at some point and had fun taking selfies. And it looks like she had been eating a snack since she has crumbs on her eyebrow, nose, and below her bottom lip, haha!
After the Jungle Cruise ride everyone was very ready for some late breakfast so we went to a place called Sleepy Hollow Waffles. The kids got Mickey waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. My dad tried one with eggs and ham. I got one with eggs and tomatoes and I think Rick got a berry one. They were super delicious!
After waffles we decided to head back to Adventureland to go on the Haunted Mansion ride and for the Captain Jack Sparrow Pirate Tutorial. They called the kids up and gave them their own pirate certificates. Then we went and did a really fun pirate treasure hunt where you follow the clues on a map throughout Adventureland and you get a free fast pass for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It was such a neat treasure hunt that had stations secretly stationed throughout that part of the park where you could scan your magic band and it would talk to you and show you the next clue. Some things came up out of the water or had a canon fire off the top of a building. All things you would think are just part of the decorations at the park but if you know what you're looking for with the treasure map, it ends up being a part of the treasure hunt. It was so cool!

One of the clues. They scanned their bands and
the boat lifted up to reveal the next clue. |

Gma & Gpa bought the kids cotton candy and
they totally loved it! |

After finishing up everything we wanted to do in Adventureland we decided to stop and eat lunch at Pecos Bill's to eat some yummy Mexican food. Before we even got our food, Garrett & Brenna both fell asleep in the stroller. Apparently we got lucky and the table we sat at outside the restaurant was right next to the pathway of the parade we wanted to see!
So we finished up our food and were able to watch the parade right there. The younger two slept through the whole thing and Rick propped Kimbri up on his shoulders and we watched the parade before heading to Tomorrowland.
 |
| Kimbri got a pretty sweet view of the parade up on Rick's shoulders. |
We went on to Tomorrowland and did the Speedway track (Brenna and I sat off due to being too little and pregnancy). We also did the Buzz Lightyear ride and the People Mover ride (I love that one)!

One last stop we definitely wanted to make was to be able to meet Pooh Bear because Brenna has had a major obsession with all things Pooh Bear lately. It was a pretty long wait, so my mom, Brenna and I waited in line while the big kids went on another ride. I can't remember which one but they went and did a ride and then met up with us to meet Pooh afterward.
After meeting Pooh Bear Garrett wanted to meet Buzz Lightyear. I volunteered to just go get in line while they all went on another ride because I wasn't feeling up for anymore moving rides, haha. Didn't want to have a repeat of what happened on the It's a Small World ride... So I waited in line for what seemed like forever and then they all came and joined me when it was time to meet him. And then Garrett ended up being grumpy about it in the end. After all of that waiting! Probably because it was getting late into the night the kids were probably exhausted.
We decided to head back to the hotel a little before park closing to avoid all the crazy crowds. Before leaving we wanted to pick up some ice cream from the Edy's Ice Cream shop right on the corner across from the castle. It was delicious! Then we snagged one last photo of the castle all lit up at night and headed out to the bus stop.

We are so incredibly grateful that we were able to take this family trip together! It was so much fun to see the excitement and happiness on the kids faces. It was wonderful to be able and spend loads of time together, especially after such a difficult rotation that Rick had to do where he didn't get to even see much of the kids. We're grateful that Grandma & Grandpa Haycock made a trip out to Florida to be able to spend some time with us. The grankids were sure happy to have some time with them! Everything about this trip was so great and I'm so, so glad that we got to spend a week together! Residency life is no joke and so hard, but it was really fun to plan a trip and look forward to a vacation together. Now we get to go home and start planning and getting ready for our a little baby to join our family! Life is so good.

The next morning my parents had to leave super early to catch their flight. We kind of took our time waking up and getting stuff packed back up into the car, so we figured we should just sleep until the kids wake up. We let them play on the little hotel playground while Rick finished up packing and then he drove around and picked us up. They also all wanted one last picture on that silly race car from the Toy Story Movie, ha! That thing was such a hit for some reason! They were all pretending to drive the car. They all enjoyed some movies, snacks and sleeping on the way home.
