July 15: a We went to the beach! Last time we went we checked out Holden Beach. It was nice and we loved it! But this time we decided to try out one called Topsail Beach and it blew the other one out of the water! Mostly because we found an awesome spot that was close to bathrooms with plenty of parking. It was away from the crowds, the sand was SO soft and smooth. It wasn't windy and the waves were perfect for the kids to do their boogie boards on. They had worked for my mom when we were still living in Utah, picking up tons of pine cones, and had earned some money. So when we were at Sam's Club earlier in the week, the kids decided that's what they wanted to spend their money on. And it was a good thing because they are obsessed with boogie boarding now! It was so relaxing to just hang out on the beach with just our family and have some together time. I know we need to really take advantage of our time together because next month is when residency is going to get a lot harder! But for now, we are enjoying spending a lot of time with Rick :)
